| This pre-production M6 has the lowest VIN of any North American-spec model, though it was actually the eighth example to be completed. It is one of just two U.S.-spec M6s produced without power front seats or the fixed rear center console. Despite the date on the door jamb sticker, this car was in fact built on September 15, 1986. It lived in California until 2006, when it was purchased by a gentleman in Washington D.C., then by a gentleman in Rhode Island soon after. The car then belonged to BMW of Oyster Bay in New York. It was eventually exported to Poland. |
